Nissan's design chief Shiro Nakamura stopped by One AutoWeek Tower on Friday afternoon during his visit to Detroit to share some insight on current and future styling trends for his company. Nakamura, who is best known to enthusiasts for his work on the GT-R, says the current state of design is relatively strong, and the business may be on the verge of another golden age. Nissan is also pondering the look of a version of the Leaf for its luxury Infiniti brand.
The Nissan Murano is to get a diesel option from September
The Nissan Murano is the Qashqai’s big brother, just as the soon to arrive Nissan Juke is the baby. But the Murano often tends to get overlooked because it seems like it doesn’t really belong in Europe. It feels – and looks – a bit like a Crossover designed for the US with its blingy looks and petrol only V6 (from the old 350Z).

Good car, the Mazda3, and if you’re looking for a Mazda3 with extra spec you could do a lot worse than the newly announced Mazda3 Tamura. Mazda already has Tamura versions of the Mazda2 and Mazda6 on offer which were launched last year, and now it’s the turn of the Mazda3 to get the Tamura treatment. The Tamura is based on the TS but gets a sporty styling kit including sports front grille, side skirts and sports bumpers, a set of 17″ alloys, front fogs, metallic paint and the required badges.
